Sono was the best sushi I’ve had in a long time! Out of alllll the rolls at our table the Screaming O was amazing. The Poke roll was a close second. Great food, great service β€” including our server boxing up leftovers and including a fresh salad as an extra customer care touch! If you’re in the mood for goooood sushi - check Somo out!

My husband and I had a wonderful date night here. The food was delicious! There was so much we wanted to try, it was hard to pick. We will be back soon to try more things. Our favorites were the grilled octopus, shrimp poppers and mochi ice cream dessert. The vibes were awesome too! Andrea and Patty were amazing and took great care of us!

This place is INCREDIBLE. Based on observation, seems like this place is owned by a nice Japanese lady. The fish is fresh, the prices are reasonable for a downtown location, and the vibes are awesome. The cooked food? Delicious. The sushi? Delicious. I’m also a sushi snob who loves raw scallops and so rarely do I see a roll that does scallops so correctly!! The crunch scallop is the BEST. please come here. I need this place to be here forever. Only complaint is that I wish it closed a little later. Maybe 10 PM instead of 9 PM? Pictures are from multiple visits. Clearly I love this place.

We chose this lovely place to celebrate Mother’s Day, and we were pleasantly surprised with a special free dessert and a bouquet of flowers. For appetizers, we ordered fried shrimp, and the sauce was even better than bang bang. I couldn’t get enough of it! The drink was delicious, and the spicy miso ramen was a hit. My girls and I had a fantastic time.

Our server was named Hannah and she did an exceptional job caring for us. I eat a lot of Japanese food and this place really hit the mark of what it means to be a good Japanese restaurant. I got the spicy miso ramen and I am still thinking about it. The spicy edamame was one of the best that I have ever had. Everyone enjoyed their rolls and the taste was awesome. I’d totally come back when I’m visiting Raleigh.
